It provides natural sweetness and added health benefits.
In Ayurveda, the use of Dates (Khajur) is described to improve overall body health. Ancient Ayurvedic texts provide information about the beneficial properties of dates in enhancing body health. Modern science has also appreciated its properties. Its Glycemic Index is lower compared to sugar, and it contains essential micronutrients required by the body. Therefore, modern science recommends the use of dates instead of sugar, even for individuals suffering from diabetes. People with diabetes are advised to limit their intake of excess sugar, which means they must give up sweet foods. For this reason, due to the presence of sugars that are sweet but do not rapidly increase blood sugar levels and are easy to digest, Dates prove to be a suitable option for such individuals.
Considering this use of Dates based on the principles of Ayurvedic science, Shree Dhootpapeshwar Limited has developed two products – Swamala Compound SF and Swamala Classic SF – without the use of added sugar. These products are excellent Ayurvedic formulations made with the components of Chyawanprash, specifically designed for individuals who avoid extra sugar consumption.
