Formally established in 1872, Shree Dhootapapeshwar Limited is the world’s oldest Ayurvedic enterprise.

Founded by Late Vaidyaraj Shri Krishnashastri Puranik (1839 – 1905), teamSDL as it is christened today is led by Shri. Ranjit Anand Puranik (5th Generation and 7th member of the Puranik family). Click here to view History.

With an annual turnover of over 200 crores, Shree Dhootapapeshwar Limited boasts of the largest number of Ayurved Physicians on its board to deliver sophisticated, traditional yet scientific nuance to every activity of the Company. The management firmly believes what is Good for Ayurved is Best for the enterprise (See Ethos).

The main manufacturing of the traditional range of medicines is located in Panvel with another manufacturing site in Bangalore managed by a dedicated technology licensed vendor.

    • Nagarjuna Awards 2007 at the hands of Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri. Bhairon Singh Shekhawat and Nagarjuna Awards 2009 at the hands of Hon’ble President of India Smt. Pratibha Patil for its Standardised and Best Quality medicine production.
